StayAwake.page runs in your browser. Your tasks, timer and settings never leave your device. One third party sees that a visit happened: Google Analytics.
What stays on your device
Your tasks, your timer presets, your volume, your clock format and your theme are stored in your browser's local storage under the keys app-settings, tasks and notify-declined. There is no account, no server to sync to, and no request that carries any of it anywhere. Clearing your browser data deletes all of it permanently, because this site holds no copy.
What Google Analytics collects
The site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-7C2DFRY3Z0). It records page views and a small set of interaction events so we can tell which features get used: turning the wake lock on or off, choosing a sound, starting or stopping a timer, entering awake mode, creating a task, and whether notifications were allowed or declined.
Those events carry no personal data and no task content. The task event records only whether a due date was set, never the task's text. Google Analytics itself sets cookies and processes your IP address to derive an approximate location; that processing is Google's, described in their own privacy policy.
What the browser permissions are for
The screen wake lock needs no permission and collects nothing. It asks your operating system to keep the display awake while the tab is visible, and it ends when you close the tab.
Notifications are requested only at the moment you start a timer, and only to send one message when that timer finishes. Declining costs you nothing: the timer still runs and still plays its tone.
Audio is generated in your browser with the Web Audio API. Nothing is streamed and no microphone is ever accessed.
Advertising
The site carries no advertising today. If that changes, this page will say so before any ad code ships, and visitors in the EU and UK will be asked for consent first.
